One of the most important, and often most
overlooked, aspects of applying to law schools is the personal
statement. Your personal statement can literally make or break
you. As we are sure you are aware by now, IHateLawschool.com
isn't run by some corporation.
It is run by a couple of lawyers - like you hope to become one
day. This means that the advice we provide here isn't always
cookie-cutter and therefore, should give you a leg up on anyone who
just churns out the standard garbage personal
statement. On numerous occasions, we here at
IHateLawschool.com have been asked to review the personal statements of
our visitors and have created this mechanism to help you
out.
For a small fee of $100, we will provide the
following:
- Your personal statement will
be personally reviewed by one of the founders of this site, each of whom attended a top tier law school
- Although we can't write your personal statement
for you, you will receive detailed comments and questions to help make
your personal statement as good the very best it can be.
- Your $100 fee covers our review of up to 3
drafts of your personal statement. Our review of any additional
drafts will cost an additional $25 per draft.
- Please note that our review doesn't guarantee
anything as far as your admission to law school. It does,
however, give you the perspective of a successful practicing lawyer.
- Turnaround time is generally only a couple of
days; however, please note that sometimes it may take longer. If
you need your review within less than 7 days, please note this in your
correspondence. If we are out of town and can't review your
personal statement within that time-frame, you will receive a refund in
full.
